Legal restrictions in Alfama
Alfama is a historic centre classified by Lisbon City Council. Installing exterior split units on the façade is not allowed — fines of up to €3,500. Only portable ACs are legal.
How we deliver
In Alfama we work on foot: the van stops near Campo das Cebolas or Rua do Paraíso and we take the AC up the stairways on a hand truck — we've hauled units all the way up towards the Castle in mid-August. Picking up at the meeting point (Largo do Chafariz de Dentro, Largo de São Miguel or Portas do Sol) is free. Door delivery carries a fee based on effort: €15 with a lift or up to the 2nd floor; €25 for a walk-up from the 3rd floor (up to ~€35 from the 5th).
